FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What types of projects do you take on?

Residential, commercial and heritage projects: foundations and structure, waterproofing and French drains, flat roofs, interior systems and soundproofing, restoration after water infiltration, renovations, extensions and turnkey projects.

Why hire a general contractor for your project?

You deal with a single point of contact who is responsible for coordinating the trades, the schedule and compliance with the Quebec Construction Code. For structural work, we bridge the engineer's recommendations and their execution on site.

Do you offer turnkey projects?

Yes. On a turnkey basis, we coordinate the entire project: the required professionals (architect, engineer who is a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec), the permit process with you, construction and site supervision through to final acceptance.

What areas do you serve?

We work in Montreal, on the North Shore, including Laval, and on the South Shore. Our office is in Anjou, in Montreal's East End, at 10701 Ray-Lawson Boulevard.

Who takes care of building permits?

Municipal permits are generally applied for by the owner; we coordinate the required documents with you. Requirements vary by municipality and borough. Permits are not included in our quotes.

Is the quote free? How are your prices set?

Yes. Our prices are based on the current wage rates of the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ), set by the collective agreements for the sector concerned (residential, institutional and commercial, industrial), plus the materials and equipment specific to each job. Every quote is free, detailed and prepared after a site visit.

Where is your office and what are your hours?

Our office is at 10701 Ray-Lawson Boulevard, Anjou (Montreal), H1J 1M5. We answer Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at (514) 654-9184 or contact@constructionaim.ca.

Do you work in occupied buildings?

Yes. In a plex, a condo or a commercial building, we plan the work with the occupants: closed-off work zones, dust control and schedules announced in advance. Our guide on work in occupied buildings details these measures.
